Onsen raises 1.3 million euros in funds to reduce the environmental impact and operating costs of swimming pools and aquatic facilities open to the public

Onsen is a Lyon-based company that designs and develops equipment and software capable of revolutionizing the management of aquatic centers: optimization of water and energy performance, real-time management of the various parameters and equipment, and a significant reduction in operating costs.

Fundraising and objectives: raising 1.3 million euros via the Metropolitan Industrial Seed Fund (FAIM) Lyon – Saint-Etienne, managed by Demeter, to accelerate the large-scale deployment of its “Hippocampe” control software platform and all associated innovative equipment.

Created in 2008, this Lyon SME began its activities with the marketing of equipment for wastewater heat recovery (“Axone”, formerly “Degré Bleu”) and was able to count the Suez group among its shareholders. Since 2021, the company has regained its independence with one of its historic founders, Yann Menez, at its head, a visionary engineer and manager deeply committed to the environment and social impact. The company has already equipped more than 200 sites in France and Belgium with its eco-efficient solutions.
